Privacy Policy
Volunteer applications. When you submit a volunteer application, we collect the personal information you provide in the application form. This includes your name, contact details, date of birth, educational background, and the details required to process your enhanced DBS check. We use this information solely to assess your application and, if successful, to manage your involvement as a volunteer.
Email correspondence. If you email us, we retain a record of that correspondence. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up on any ongoing matter.
NHS Trust enquiries. If you contact us on behalf of an NHS trust or other organisation, we collect your name and contact details to manage that relationship.
Website usage. This website does not use analytics tracking, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking tools. We do not collect any information simply by virtue of you visiting this site.
Legal basis and retention
We process personal data on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to enquiries), contractual necessity (managing the volunteer relationship), and legal obligation (DBS processing requirements).
Volunteer application data is retained for as long as you are an active volunteer, and for a reasonable period following the end of your involvement, in line with our safeguarding obligations. Email correspondence is retained for a reasonable period for operational and legal purposes.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties, except where required to process your DBS check through the Disclosure and Barring Service, or where required by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, to request deletion of your data (subject to our legal obligations), and to object to processing in certain circumstances.
